Watched the movie Notorious tonight. Sketches from the brief moments I managed to draw quickly enough.

There's nothing like a love song to give you a good laugh.
I better get back to real work, I suppose.

I’ve recently gotten a book called “Drawn to Life” by Walt Stanchfield, a Disney animator who worked on Sleeping Beauty, The Jungle Book, Peter Pan and more. He taught a weekly class at Disney for over twenty years and some of his students were Brad Bird, John Lasseter, and Don Bluth just to name a few.
This book goes through a vast collection of his lectures that range from topics about drawing, composition, tips on keeping up a good mental and physical state and thoughts about life, tennis and Zen.
To put it (very, very) lightly, I’ve become inspired.
My haphazard sketching isn’t gonna work anymore; I need to do a lot more and be enthusiastic about it. Hence, I will be drawing as much as I can, whenever I can.
This should mean more drawings on the blog. I’ll have one post a day from now on (the best sketch from that day).
This is my contract.
I’ve been frustrated lately. With a lot of things.
But currently, it’s mostly been the fact that I’ve been in a funk and can’t draw. That feeling is putting a halt on my storyboards as well as making me pretty pessimistic about how Observadores will finally turn out.
But, I digress.
To try to get out of my funk, I tried a drawing workshop on Monday. I certainly struggled and felt my drawings were not up to par overall (save a few). But, I really do need to draw more if I am to ever get better. Probably not back at the workshop though; $15 is pretty costly and would add up quickly. I think I’ll just stick to other means.
